Production method
Villa Russiz's grappas are obtained from the pomace of the estate's grapes and produced in collaboration with Distilleria Bepi Tosolini; the fresh pomace is distilled according to the so-called Metodo Tosolini in traditional steam-heated stills, aiming to preserve aromas and scents.

Ageing

The Villa Russiz estate has historical roots in the Collio; local sources place the company's origin around 1868, with the historic cellar dating back to 1869. Today the Fondazione Villa Russiz maintains wine production and complements its range of wines with a limited line of distillates tied to the estate's harvests.

The production approach is based on a strong connection to the Collio territory and on enhancing the grapes and their distinctive varietal characteristics. For grappas, fresh pomace from the best estate-owned grapes is favored to preserve the original aromas.
