The Francesca Romana IGT from the Terenzi winery is a true tribute to the rich winemaking tradition of Tuscany's Maremma region. This wine has been skillfully crafted with special attention to reflect not only the unique terroir of this region but also the innovation and passion of the Terenzi family.

The wine displays a deep and brilliant red color. On the nose, seductive notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries and raspberries emerge, accompanied by delicately spicy accents and a light hint of vanilla, a result of careful aging in wooden barrels. The aromatic complexity is heightened by nuances of Mediterranean herbs and moist earth, beckoning a taste.

On the palate, Francesca Romana shows a vigorous balance: it has a solid yet harmonious structure, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent freshness that enhances its drinkability. The high quality of the grapes and meticulous winemaking are reflected in a velvety texture and a long, pleasantly aromatic finish.

This wine pairs magnificently with traditional Tuscan dishes, such as Florentine steak or pici pasta with wild boar ragù. It is also an excellent companion for aged cheeses and richly aromatic dishes.

Serve at a temperature of 18°C to fully appreciate all its nuances. Francesca Romana IGT by Terenzi is an authentic expression of the Maremma land, ideal for lovers of intense and characterful Tuscan wines.

Winery history
The Terenzi project originated from the family's investment in the Maremma. After Florio Terenzi's move to the countryside, noted as a family initiative since the 1990s, the operation was organised and developed commercially with the construction of the winery and the planting of new vineyards from 2001; today it is managed by the family, including Balbino, Federico and Francesca Romana.
Production philosophy
A pursuit of elegance and expressive clarity, with Sangiovese at the core and measured experimentation with white and international varieties. Vineyard work is oriented toward sustainability, cellar technology serves quality, and attention is paid to territorial identity.
Terroir and vineyards
Situated in the municipality of Scansano in the Tuscan Maremma, the estate benefits from sea breezes and well-drained clay soils. The vineyards extend across hills facing the sea, in a landscape also connected to local cultural projects.
