Isola dei Nuraghi IGT - Turriga - Argiolas 2021

Argiolas' Turriga represents an icon in the Sardinian wine scene, a wine that has contributed to defining the international reputation of the island's wines. A renowned producer, Argiolas makes the most of Sardinia's unique terroir, using native grapes that reflect the rich essence of this land. 

This Imposing Isola dei Nuraghi IGT is mainly composed of local varieties such as Carignano, Bovale Sardo and Malvasia Nera. This choice of grapes helps to create a wine of great structure and complexity. After the harvest, Turriga is subjected to a long refinement in barrique, which enriches its bouquet and softens its tannins. 

Visually, Turriga presents itself with an almost impenetrable dark red color. On the nose, it surprises with its intensity and aromatic complexity; notes of ripe red fruits intertwine with spicy accents of vanilla and liquorice, enriched by a light hint of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is robust and full, with a well-integrated tannic texture that promises excellent aging potential. The aromas in the mouth reflect the olfactory complexity and persist in a long and pleasantly aromatic finish.

Ideal to pair with intense and structured dishes, such as roasted or braised red meats, game and mature cheeses, Turriga proves to be a wine of great personality and elegance, capable of dressing up special occasions and evolving splendidly over the years.
