Originating from the enchanting hills of the Langhe, famous for their prestigious wines, the Langhe Nebbiolo DOC "Regret" by Monchiero Carbone is a sublime example of Piedmontese winemaking mastery. This wine manages to capture the essence of the Nebbiolo grape, known for its elegant structure and intense aromas.

The "Regret" appears ruby with garnet reflections that intensify with maturation. On the nose, it offers a complex and seductive fragrance, with notes of ripe red fruits like cherries and raspberries, enhanced by hints of violet, tobacco, and delicate spices. A slight aroma of oak enriches the bouquet, evidence of balanced aging in barrique.

On the palate, the wine is rich and fully harmonious. The attack is vigorous but well balanced by the typical acidity of Nebbiolo, which promises excellent longevity. The tannins are robust yet polished, blending into a long and persistent finish, with echoes of fruit and spices.

Ideal for pairing with robust dishes such as braised meats, game, and aged cheeses, the Langhe Nebbiolo DOC "Regret" is a wine that improves with time, developing further layers of complexity if properly stored in a cellar.

Whether served on special occasions or enjoyed alone for reflection, this wine is a classy choice for those seeking a taste experience deeply rooted in the winemaking tradition of Piedmont.

Winery history
The Monchiero-Carbone family states a winemaking tradition dating back to the early 20th century and, on its official website, traces family roots to 1918; over time family members reunited and expanded the vineyards around Canale to develop the company's modern production. Third-party sources indicate that the winery’s structure was consolidated from the late 1980s/early 1990s, when the vineyards of two families were brought together to begin the joint enterprise.
Production philosophy
The estate focuses on the native grape varieties of the area and on an approach that showcases the terroir of the Roero and Langhe hills, experimenting with aging techniques to enhance the longevity of certain whites and reds. In recent years it has developed aged interpretations of Arneis.
