Pelago is one of the flagship wines of the Umani Ronchi winery, a prestigious label that epitomizes the excellence of the Marche region in the Italian wine scene. This wine is positioned in the high-end segment, offering a rich and complex tasting experience.

Primarily produced from Montepulciano grapes, with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Pelago is distinguished by its intense organoleptic profile and robust structure. The winemaking process involves a long maceration, followed by maturation for about 14 months in French oak barriques, and further refinement in the bottle.

Visually, Pelago presents a deep ruby red color, with hints of garnet as it ages. On the nose, it offers an expressive bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, spices such as black pepper and vanilla, and hints of tobacco and leather, resulting from its elegant passage through wood.

On the palate, Pelago reveals great complexity and a surprising balance. The tannins are well-structured and harmonize beautifully with a persistent freshness that leads to a long and pleasantly spiced finish.

Ideal to accompany flavorful dishes such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses, Pelago is a wine that performs best after several years of aging but can also impress in its youth.

Recommended for those seeking a wine that combines tradition and innovation, the Pelago IGT by Umani Ronchi represents an excellent choice for special moments or to enrich the cellar of any enthusiast.
