The Primitivo di Manduria DOC "Passo del Cardinale" produced by Paolo Leo is a winemaking gem that encapsulates the essence of Puglia in your glass. This wine is exclusively made from Primitivo grapes, a variety that finds its ideal habitat in the rich and sunny soils of Manduria, allowing it to fully express its best characteristics.

Color: The Passo del Cardinale boasts an intense ruby red color, with shades that tend to turn purplish with aging, indicating its rich concentration.

Aroma: On the nose, the bouquet is complex and enveloping, characterized by notes of ripe fruit such as plums and cherries, enriched with hints of sweet spices, tobacco, and a slight vanilla note, a result of aging in wood.

Taste: On the palate, the wine offers a full and rounded tasting experience. The strength of the Primitivo is balanced by a pleasant softness and well-integrated tannins. The harmony between acidic and sweet is impeccable, with a long and persistent finish that leaves traces of chocolate and spices.

Pairings: This wine is perfect for accompanying robust dishes such as roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses. It is also excellent with ethnic cuisine dishes that require a wine with a strong personality.

Presentation: The "Passo del Cardinale" is presented in an elegant tube, ideal for special gifts or for preserving the wine longer. The care in presentation reflects the attention to detail that Paolo Leo dedicates to the production of this wine.

In conclusion, the Primitivo di Manduria DOC "Passo del Cardinale" by Paolo Leo represents an excellent choice for lovers of robust and aromatic wines. A true expression of the Manduria terroir, to be discovered and appreciated sip after sip.
