The Sangiovese Superiore Riserva DOC Torre di Ceparano, produced by the renowned Zerbina winery located in the picturesque region of Emilia-Romagna, is a wine that embodies Italian excellence and winemaking tradition. This reserve wine, made with a careful selection of Sangiovese grapes, is the result of meticulous winemaking and extensive aging, which includes a significant period of maturation in oak barrels.

Visually, the Sangiovese Superiore Riserva Torre di Ceparano has a deep ruby red color, which matures to garnet with aging. On the nose, it reveals a complex and intriguing bouquet, where interwoven notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum are enriched by nuances of spices, vanilla, and a light balsamic touch, inherited from the elegant passage in wood.

On the palate, the wine is structured yet harmonious, with a good acidity that perfectly balances the richness of the tannins. The flavor recalls the olfactory sensations of fruit and spices, leading to a long and persistent finish that invites another sip.

Ideal to pair with hearty Italian dishes, such as pasta with ragù, roasted meats, and aged cheeses, the Sangiovese Superiore Riserva DOC Torre di Ceparano from Zerbina is an excellent choice for lovers of intense and complex red wines. Its aging potential also allows for prolonged storage, expanding the range of taste nuances that this wine can offer over time.

Winery history
The origins of Fattoria Zerbina are rooted in the hills of Marzeno. Winemaking began when Vincenzo Geminiani purchased the land and planted the first vines. In the years that followed, family stewardship and a commitment to quality, under the leadership of Cristina Geminiani, brought the estate growing recognition on the regional and national wine scene.
Production philosophy
An approach that combines respect for tradition with research: careful vineyard management, focused winemaking and a commitment to quality without shortcuts. The estate aims to express the character of the terroir through structured wines, reserve bottlings and premium passito wines.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hills of Marzeno, on the lower slopes of the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines, mainly on hillside soils planted to alberello training. The setting offers exposures and soils that are interpreted through winemaking tied to each individual cru.
