The Sauvignon DOC Stern Alto Adige - Kaltern, produced by Kaltern, is a white wine that presents with clarity and liveliness. In the glass it shows bright straw reflections; on the nose it tends to offer aromas of aromatic herbs, citrus and light vegetal notes, with hints that may recall grapefruit peel and green pepper. The olfactory approach is direct but not intrusive, supported by good freshness that underlines the varietal character.

On the palate it is lean, with a generally fresh structure and perceptible acidity that balances the fruit. The finish can be saline and clean, making it suitable with fish dishes, vegetables, light terrestrial preparations and fresh cheeses; it also works well as an aperitif wine. It is recommended to serve it well chilled and consume it within a reasonable time to preserve the liveliness of the varietal notes. Possible differences between vintages or batches may affect the sensory profile; for specific information contact the producer.
