Winery history Cantina Kaltern / Kellerei Kaltern

Born from the merger of local cellars and officially founded in 1900; it has grown to include several hundred member growers (around 650).

Production philosophy

Promotion of the Lake Caldaro terroir, focus on terroir and sustainability; FAIR'n GREEN certified (since 2018) and organized in quality ranges such as 'Quintessenz' and 'kunst.stück'.

Vineyards in the Caldaro/Kaltern area around Lake Caldaro (Alto Adige); cultivated varieties include Goldmuskateller, Vernatsch (Schiava), Sauvignon, Pinot Bianco and other typical Alto Adige varieties.
