The Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC produced by Cantina Kaltern is an exquisite example of the viticultural excellence of northern Italy. Located in the heart of the picturesque Alto Adige region, Cantina Kaltern draws from the rich winemaking tradition and the unique microclimate of this mountainous area to create a white wine of rare finesse.

This Pinot Bianco stands out with its straw-yellow color and bright reflections. On the nose, it presents a delicate and inviting bouquet, where fragrances of green apple, white peach, and subtle floral notes intertwine with a slight minerality typical of the Alto Adige soil.

On the palate, the wine exhibits extraordinary freshness and elegant balance, with well-measured acidity that prolongs the gustatory and olfactory pleasure. Its complexity develops subtly, leading to a long and pleasant aromatic persistence.

Ideal as an aperitif, the Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC from Kaltern pairs magnificently with delicate fish dishes, seafood, or as an accompaniment to light vegetarian dishes. It is also an excellent choice to accompany asparagus pasta dishes or spring risottos.

Serve at a temperature of 8-10°C to fully appreciate its qualities. This wine not only tells the story of its origin with every sip but also promises a sensory experience that strengthens the connection with the Alto Adige territory, making it a prized choice for any white wine enthusiast.

Cooperative that brings together over 500 members. Approximately 420 hectares of vineyards in the Caldaro / Kaltern area. Strong regional identity centered on the Kalterersee. Vineyards at 200–850 m above sea level; alpine–Mediterranean climate and porphyritic and calcareous soils. Commitment to sustainability.
Winery history
The winery traces its roots to the early 20th century: the company’s history began with cooperatives and small local wineries founded around 1900 and, through mergers over the course of the 20th century and in 2016, became the present-day Cantina Kaltern, which brings together hundreds of members and manages the vineyards around the lake.
Production philosophy
Collective production and connection to the territory: the cooperative values the work of its members, seeks quality and typicity linked to the lake's microclimate and the varying exposures of the vineyards, and focuses on sustainability in managing the vineyard landscape.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are spread around Lago di Caldaro, on alternating porphyritic and calcareous soils, with varied exposures and altitudes ranging from approximately 200 to 850 meters. An Alpine–Mediterranean influenced climate favors both aromatic white varieties and elegant reds.
