The Syrah Gimblett Gravels Hawke's Bay from Craggy Range offers a profile typical of the area: a concentrated red that opens with ripe dark fruit, gentle spices and a touch of pepper, supported by floral nuances and an earthy underpinning characteristic of gravelly soils. The color is deep; the bouquet stays focused on black cherry, blackberry and small dark fruits, while the spicy notes add tension without being excessive.

Winery history
Craggy Range was born from the Peabody family's vision to create a lasting winemaking heritage. The estate was developed by selecting distinctive parcels in the Gimblett Gravels and Te Muna Road regions; the company formally dates its founding to 1998 and has established a long-term family trust to preserve the estate's legacy.
