Winery history Clos Saint Fiacre

The estate belongs to the Montigny‑Piel family, who have been cultivating vines in the area since the 17th century. Bénédicte and Hubert Piel took over the estate in 2001 and have continued its work with a contemporary approach to winemaking and to enhancing the local terroir.

Production philosophy

The focus is on quality through careful viticultural practices and respect for the terroir. Vineyard and cellar work aims to bring out the aromatic purity and identity of the local AOCs.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyard lies south of the Loire, on the plateau between the river and the Sologne. Soils are described as sand and gravel over a calcareous subsoil. The estate cultivates parcels within the AOC Orléans and Orléans‑Cléry.
