Winery history Domaine de Bellene

Domaine de Bellene was founded as a project by Nicolas Potel, heir to a family of winegrowers from the Côte d'Or and also active as a négociant with Maison Roche de Bellene. The project brought together historic vineyards in the Beaune area and in other appellations of the Côte d'Or; the estate is based in historic buildings in Beaune. The domaine has developed by combining vineyard work on old vines with winemaking aimed at showcasing the origin of each parcel.

Production philosophy

A pursuit of authentic regional expression with an environmentally conscious approach: use of old vines, careful grape selection and restrained winemaking to let the terroir express itself in the cuvées. At the same time, there is a négociant dimension through Maison Roche de Bellene, which works with selected parcels in Burgundy.

Terroir and vineyards

Based in Beaune with vineyards distributed across the Côte de Beaune and in several appellations of the Côte de Nuits. The vineyard parcels cited in the sources extend, across various estates and historic acquisitions, from Santenay to Vosne-Romanée and include appellations such as Savigny-lès-Beaune, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée.
