Winery history Francis Ford Coppola Winery

The Geyserville estate originated as the former Chateau Souverain and, after several changes of ownership, was acquired by the Coppola family in 2006. In the following years the property was renovated and transformed into a visitor destination with a tasting room, the Coppola Movie Museum and the restaurant Rustic; the estate reopened with these new hospitality offerings around 2010. On the commercial side, in 2021 an agreement was announced in which Delicato Family Wines acquired the labels and certain assets related to the Francis Ford Coppola Winery brand.

Production philosophy

The winery blends the creative approach of cinema with winemaking: its goal is to offer approachable yet carefully crafted wines and to make the visit a shared experience that combines taste, storytelling and family hospitality.

Terroir and vineyards

The winery is located in Geyserville, in the heart of Sonoma County, and produces wines from grapes sourced from vineyards across various regions of California. The winery values both local vineyards and sourcing from other California appellations for its product lines.
