Winery history Gianfranco Fino

Gianfranco Fino began his work in 2004 by buying a small Primitivo vineyard and, over time, expanded the estate by rescuing old, local vines. The winery quickly gained a strong reputation thanks to the Primitivo "Es", which became its flagship wine and drew the attention of international critics.

Production philosophy

The winery aims to produce wines with a strong sense of place: meticulous vineyard care, hands-on work and attention to old bush-trained vines. The approach combines instinct, passion and respect for the land; the labels and wine names allude to cultural references cited by the winery.

Terroir and vineyards

Headquarters and vineyards in Salento, on red calcareous-clayey soils exposed to the Ionian Sea breeze; vineyards predominantly trained as alberello pugliese.
