Winery Krug

Founded by Joseph Krug in 1843 in Reims, the Maison built its reputation through a focus on quality and the practice of blending, which allows it to preserve and combine the characteristics of many base wines. Over time the Krug family has developed emblematic projects such as the Clos du Mesnil and the Clos d'Ambonnay, and has maintained strong ties with selected growers.

Krug emphasizes the individuality of wines from single plots: each is vinified and evaluated separately before being assembled. The Maison values patience, respect for the terroir and close collaboration with growers through the Krug Growers' Circle.

Headquartered in Reims, the grapes come from numerous crus and parcels across the Champagne region, with notable examples such as Clos du Mesnil and Clos d'Ambonnay. Krug uses both estate-owned vineyards and grapes supplied by carefully selected contract growers.
