Winery history Viña Las Niñas

The project originated from the initiative of French families settled in Apalta; the families' daughters gave the estate its name. The property developed with an emphasis on the winery's architecture and design and through a technical approach aimed at enhancing the Apalta terroir.

Production philosophy

Commitment to sustainability and organic production: vineyard practices aimed at conserving soil and biodiversity, hand-harvesting of the grapes, and careful winemaking to express the origin of the grapes with measured interventions in the cellar.

Terroir and vineyards

Apalta is a small horseshoe-shaped basin, sheltered by hills and influenced by the wind that flows between the Andes and the Pacific; the Tinguiririca River contributes to thermal balance and water resources. The soils cited in sources are mixtures of sandy clay with volcanic and gravelly elements, and the diurnal temperature variations and altitude promote balanced ripening.
