The Prima Mano Primitivo Selezione IGT is a red wine of exceptional quality produced by the renowned A Mano Winery, located in the fertile lands of Puglia. This wine is a sublime example of the winery's ability to blend tradition and innovation, enhancing the characteristics of the Primitivo grape to the fullest.

Characterized by a deep ruby red color, the Prima Mano Primitivo offers an intense aromatic bouquet, with prevailing notes of ripe red fruits such as plum and cherry, enriched by nuances of vanilla and dark spices, due to aging in wooden barriques.

On the palate, it is distinguished by its robust and well-balanced structure, with soft yet persistent tannins that accompany a pleasant freshness. The alcohol content is well integrated, enveloping without overpowering the richness of the fruit. The long and persistent aftertaste leaves space for pleasant reminiscences of tobacco and dark chocolate.

Ideal for pairing with rich dishes, such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses, the Prima Mano Primitivo Selezione IGT is a wine that also lends itself magnificently to long aging, capable of evolving elegantly over the years.

A true treasure of Apulian viticulture, this wine represents an excellent choice for lovers of robust and aromatic wines, seeking a high-quality product that tells the story and terroir of one of the most famous Italian wine regions.

Winery history
The project began with the meeting of Californian viticulturist and winemaker Mark Shannon and Italian manager Elvezia Sbalchiero: they met in Sicily and shortly after moved to Apulia to begin their winemaking activity. The winery is known for its artisanal approach and its focus on manual work in the vineyard and winery; many producer profiles date the brand’s founding to the late 1990s.
Production philosophy
Artisanal production with hand harvesting and minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar; strong focus on local varieties and on conveying the transparency of the territory. The winery declares practices aimed at preserving the natural character of the blends and carries a self‑certification "Vegan friendly" for some lines, avoiding invasive winemaking techniques.
