The Primitivo IGT "Imprint" by Mark Shannon is an excellent example of A Mano Winery's ability to blend tradition and innovation. This red wine is produced in the renowned region of Puglia, where the Mediterranean climate and clay soils are ideal for cultivating the Primitivo grape variety.

The winemaking follows traditional methods but with a modern twist that reflects the unique vision of winemaker Mark Shannon. The result is a deeply red, almost violet-hued wine, reflecting the intensity and passion that characterize this product.

On the nose, the Primitivo IGT "Imprint" opens with a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as sour cherries and plums, enriched by subtle spicy notes and a hint of vanilla, thanks to aging in barriques. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied, with a perfect balance between the natural sweetness of mature tannins and a lively acidity that provides freshness and longevity. The finish is persistent and leaves a pleasant aftertaste of fruit and spices.

Ideal for pairing with robust dishes such as meat stews, roasts, and aged cheeses, the Primitivo IGT "Imprint" is also surprisingly versatile, being appreciable with slightly spicier or ethnic dishes that enhance its characteristics without overwhelming them.

An authentic expression of the Puglian terroir, this wine is a tribute to Mark Shannon's love for Italian viticulture and his dedication to creating high-quality wines that speak of their origin. It will be a distinguished and appreciated addition to the cellar of any enthusiast of Italian wines.

Winery history
The project began with the meeting of Californian viticulturist and winemaker Mark Shannon and Italian manager Elvezia Sbalchiero: they met in Sicily and shortly after moved to Apulia to begin their winemaking activity. The winery is known for its artisanal approach and its focus on manual work in the vineyard and winery; many producer profiles date the brand’s founding to the late 1990s.
Production philosophy
Artisanal production with hand harvesting and minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar; strong focus on local varieties and on conveying the transparency of the territory. The winery declares practices aimed at preserving the natural character of the blends and carries a self‑certification "Vegan friendly" for some lines, avoiding invasive winemaking techniques.
Terroir and vineyards
Region: Apulia; tasting room and offices in Noci. The wines are linked to the Primitivo territory and to other Apulian production zones, using grapes from traditional alberello-trained vineyards.
