Produced by one of the most innovative wineries in Puglia, the Susumaniello IGT "Imprint of Mark Shannon" from Cantina A Mano is a true expression of the skill and passion that define this prestigious winery. This wine has a distinctive character, offering a unique sensory experience that captivates and seduces from the first sip.

The Susumaniello, a nearly forgotten indigenous grape variety until a few decades ago and recently revalued, offers intense aromas of ripe red fruits, spicy notes, and a subtle touch of vanilla, resulting from a masterful aging in barriques. On the palate, the wine is robust yet harmonious, with elegant tannin that promises excellent longevity. The flavors of blackberry, cherry, and plum blend beautifully with accents of black pepper and chocolate, culminating in a long and pleasantly persistent finish.

The "Susumaniello IGT" is ideal for accompanying richly flavored dishes such as braised meats, roasted meats, and aged cheeses. Its structure and complexity also make it perfect as a meditation wine, to be enjoyed slowly to appreciate every nuance.

This creation by Cantina A Mano is a tribute to the land of Puglia and its wine heritage, and is the result of careful and respectful work of the ancient traditions, while always keeping an eye on innovation. A wine that not only delights the palate but also tells a story of passion and dedication, signed by the expert hand of Mark Shannon.

Winery history
The project began with the meeting of Californian viticulturist and winemaker Mark Shannon and Italian manager Elvezia Sbalchiero: they met in Sicily and shortly after moved to Apulia to begin their winemaking activity. The winery is known for its artisanal approach and its focus on manual work in the vineyard and winery; many producer profiles date the brand’s founding to the late 1990s.
Production philosophy
Artisanal production with hand harvesting and minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar; strong focus on local varieties and on conveying the transparency of the territory. The winery declares practices aimed at preserving the natural character of the blends and carries a self‑certification "Vegan friendly" for some lines, avoiding invasive winemaking techniques.
