The Etna DOC Bianco Contrada Calderara in Magnum format (1.5 litres) by Cottanera is a sublime and distinctive expression of the Carricante grape variety, grown on the slopes of Etna. This wine, produced in one of the most unique terroirs in the world, reflects the richness and complexity afforded by the volcanic soil and high altitude typical of the region. The Calderara district, with its particular soil rich in lava stone, contributes to a pronounced minerality and a complex structure in the wine.

Presented in a Magnum format, this wine not only offers a larger quantity ideal for sharing on special occasions or collecting, but is also a symbol of greater aging potential. The larger format reduces the effect of oxygen on the wine, allowing a slower and more harmonious evolution over time.

At sight, the wine shows a bright straw yellow color, while intense and varied notes emerge on the nose: from those of white pulp fruit, such as apple and pear, to nuances of citrus fruits, white flowers, and a characteristic mineral scent that evokes flint. This olfactory complexity is a direct reflection of the volcanic terroir of origin.

In the mouth, the Etna DOC Bianco Contrada Calderara is elegant and balanced, with a lively acidity that brings freshness and dynamism. The structure is enriched by minerality and fruity notes, leading to a long and persistent finish, which invites reflection and the pleasure of the next sip.

Ideal for pairing with a variety of dishes, from light starters to elaborate fish dishes, risottos and delicate cheeses, this wine represents an excellent choice for those looking for a white of great expressiveness and aging potential.
