Cottanera's Etna DOC Rosato is a wine that captures the essence of Etna viticulture through the lens of an elegant and complex rosé. Located on the slopes of Etna, the Cottanera winery takes advantage of the island's unique volcanic terroir and favorable climate to produce distinctive wines that express the richness and diversity of the Sicilian territory.

This rosé is typically produced mainly with Nerello Mascalese grapes, a native Sicilian grape variety that grows on the lava slopes of Etna. Nerello Mascalese is appreciated for its ability to produce wines of great finesse and complexity, characteristics that are also found in the Cottanera Rosé. This vine, together with possible small additions of other local varieties, gives the wine a perfect balance between structure and freshness.

In appearance, Cottanera's Etna DOC Rosato has a pale and delicate pink colour, inviting at first glance. On the nose, it opens with an aromatic bouquet that ranges from notes of fresh red fruits, such as strawberries and cherries, to floral hints and a light minerality, a reflection of its volcanic origin.

In the mouth, the wine is lively and refreshing, with good acidity that balances the fruity component and supports an elegant structure. The minerality makes itself felt again, adding depth and a lingering length to the palate, which concludes with a clean and aromatic finish.

Cottanera's Etna DOC Rosato pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, making it extremely versatile at the table. It is particularly suitable for accompanying light appetizers, fish and seafood dishes, but can also be an excellent companion for dishes based on vegetables and fresh cheeses. Thanks to its freshness and elegance, it is also an excellent aperitif wine.
