"Quater Vitis" comes from four varieties of strictly indigenous vines, all red berried. The grapes are harvested and vinified separately then, always divided, they age for 10 months in American and French oak barrels; subsequently they are blended in a cuvée for a top level Rosso delle Terre Siciliane.
“Quater Vitis” discovers all the peculiarities of the territory and of the grapes of which it is the child. It is an excellent, particularly rich and harmonious red, very fresh and spicy, an elegant wine with character: "a tough Sicilian who speaks the strict dialect".
It has an intense ruby red color. The olfactory impact is punctual and clean, opens to fruity hints of cherries, currant and blueberries, followed by aromas of pepper and cloves with notes of rhubarb and hints of licorice and menthol. In the mouth it is particularly juicy and soft, with a balanced tannic texture, with a long persistent finish and excellent structure.
Perfect as an accompaniment to meat-based preparations, and ideal with baked conchiglioni stuffed with porcini mushrooms and sausage.
