The Rosso IGT Isola dei Nuraghi "Barrua" by Agripunica is a fine example that illustrates the harmony between the Sardinian winemaking heritage and innovative winemaking techniques, the result of the collaboration between the renowned Sardinian winery Argiolas and Tenuta San Guido, producer of the famous Sassicaia. This meeting between different mastery has given life to a wine that embodies the innovative spirit and the profound connection with the territory of Sardinia.

"Barrua" is mainly composed of Carignano grapes, enriched with percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which give the blend complexity and structure. The grapes are carefully selected from vineyards located in the Sulcis region, in the south-west of the island, where the Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich soils create the ideal conditions for the ripening of high-quality grapes.

The vinification of "Barrua" follows careful protocols to enhance the unique characteristics of the vines and terroir. The wine is aged in French oak barriques, where it develops an aromatic complexity and tannic softness that harmonize perfectly with the liveliness of the fruit.

In appearance, "Barrua" has an intense and deep red color. The olfactory profile is rich and complex, characterized by notes of ripe red and black fruits, such as blackberries, cherries and spicy notes, enriched by nuances of Mediterranean herbs, tobacco and chocolate, evidence of the elegant integration with wood.

In the mouth, the wine shows an impressive structure, balanced by good acidity which supports its freshness. The tannins are soft and velvety, and the flavors of ripe fruit blend with spicy and balsamic notes, leading to a long and persistent finish.

Ideal to accompany rich and structured dishes, such as grilled red meats, game, mushroom dishes and mature cheeses, the Rosso IGT Isola dei Nuraghi "Barrua" by Agripunica is a wine that enhances the Sardinian winemaking tradition through a modern expression and refined, offering a tasting experience that is both profound and memorable.
