Librandi's Megonio is a red wine that excellently represents the unique terroir of Calabria. Made exclusively from Merlot grapes, this wine is a true emblem of the IGT Calabria Rosso. The Librandi estate, renowned for its dedication to quality viticulture, pays special attention to its vineyards situated in the region's favorable climatic conditions.

From the very first glance, Megonio impresses with its deep, brilliant red color. On the nose, it presents a complex bouquet featuring notes of ripe red fruits, spices, and a light hint of vanilla, deriving from careful aging in oak barrels. This phase of wood maturation not only enriches the wine's aromatic profile but also helps to harmonize the tannic elements, offering a pleasantly balanced drinking experience.

On the palate, Megonio is full and robust, with a well-defined tannic structure that promises excellent aging potential. The flavors of red fruits blend with touches of chocolate and tobacco, leading to a long and persistent finish.

This wine pairs perfectly with rich and structured dishes such as grilled red meats, game-based dishes, or aged cheeses. Also ideal as a meditation wine, Librandi's Megonio exemplifies how Merlot can express itself with a distinctive and impressive character when cultivated in the Calabrian lands. An indispensable addition for lovers of Italian red wines with character and depth.
