Triple Karmeliet is a 100% natural Belgian beer, produced by the Bosteels brewery, with wheat, oats and barley. It is brewed using modern techniques, while respecting an ancient recipe of the Carmelite monks of Dendermonde that dates back to 1679.
In the glass it shows its opalescent golden color, forming abundant fine, white, creamy and very persistent foam. The hints of malt predominate on the nose, followed by a fruity bouquet where hints of banana, peach, apricot, melon and red apple dominate, mixed with citrus nuances of orange peel and aromas of aromatic herbs and spices including white pepper, ginger, cloves and coriander.
A true excellence, a beer of medium body and rather high carbonation. In the mouth the taste is sweet, finds the malt, sweet notes of honey and banana prevail; dry and sweet taste, with a timid note of toasted malt and a sour finish reminiscent of banana and unripe peach aromas, Tripel Karmeliet was awarded the Gold Medal in the Belgian-Style Strong Blond Ale category EUROPEAN BEER STAR 2021 and the double Gold Medal in the Tripl category EUROPEAN BEER CHALLENGE 2021.
