The Passo Doble by Masi is an intriguing blend of Corvina, typically Italian, and Malbec, emblematic of Argentina. This wine is the result of a sophisticated production process that combines tradition and innovation, reflecting the expertise and passion of the Masi winery in creating unique wines.
Produced using the technique of partial drying, typical of Valpolicella, the Corvina gives the wine a robust structure and notes of ripe cherry and spices. At the same time, the Malbec, grown in the Argentine vineyards at the foothills of the Andes, adds vibrant touches of black fruit and a pleasant freshness.
The color of the Passo Doble is an intense ruby red that heralds the olfactory complexity of aromas of berries, leather, vanilla, and light hints of tobacco, also derived from aging in wood. On the palate, the wine unfolds with a powerful yet balanced attack, a good body and notable persistence that leaves room for a pleasant range of integrated flavors.
The ideal pairing for this wine ranges from hearty dishes of red meat, such as braised meat or a mixed grill, to aged cheeses and dishes rich in herbs. Its versatility also makes it suitable for both formal and informal occasions, always guaranteeing a memorable tasting experience.
With its Passo Doble line, Masi has created a bridge between two wine worlds, offering a wine that is at once deep, complex, and incredibly harmonious. A genuine expression of innovation with respect for tradition, destined to satisfy sophisticated palates in search of new wine experiences.
