The Merlot from Vigna del Lauro stands out for its elegant varietal expression and the subtle balance between structure and accessibility. Originating from the renowned Isonzo area, in the heart of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine region, this wine represents a perfect synthesis of the unique terroir from which it comes.

The Merlot grapes, carefully selected, are harvested at the peak of their ripeness to ensure maximum aromatic and taste expression. Once they arrive at the winery, the grapes undergo a meticulous and respectful vinification process that adheres to ancient traditions, yet is enhanced by modern techniques that highlight their quality.

Visually, the wine presents an intense ruby-red color, with hints of garnet as it ages. The nose reveals complex aromas of ripe red fruit, such as plums and cherries, enriched by spicy and vanilla notes due to a slight passage in barrique. On the palate, the Merlot from Vigna del Lauro is soft and velvety, with well-integrated tannins leading to a persistent and pleasantly harmonious finish.

An excellent pairing for red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, this Merlot is best enjoyed at a serving temperature of about 18-20°C (64-68°F). It is recommended to open the bottle an hour before drinking to let the wine best express its qualities.

The Merlot Isonzo DOC from Vigna del Lauro is not just a wine, but a true sensory journey into the traditions and flavors of Friuli, offering a unique experience for wine lovers seeking authenticity and uncompromised quality.
