Pigskin Pink is an amazing gin made by Silvio Carta, one of the most renowned Sardinian companies in the field of distillates and liqueurs. It is aged for a minimum of 6 months in special centuries-old Vernaccia chestnut barrels. The botanicals used for its production come from the surroundings of the distillery and are: myrtle, wild fennel, mastic, prickly juniper, thyme, desolean sage, helichrysum and lemon peel.
On the nose the juniper note stands out intensely, followed by aromas of aromatic herbs that mix with the floral notes of cyclamen and hints of cardamom. A rich and flowing sip, with a typical mentholated freshness given by the helichrysum. The finish is pleasantly citrusy and persistent, very pleasant on the palate.
Its harmonious and soft taste is perfect to be consumed neat, or with a few ice cubes, but it is also particularly suitable as an ingredient for excellent cocktails and long drinks.
