Oriolo, a wine that owes its name to the sub-area in which it is grown, is a Romagna Sangiovese DOC with Additional Geographic Mention (MGA), the excellent fruit of the Sangiovese produced in the 12 sub-areas of Romagna, production areas of the typical area which express nuances in the wines diverse and unique. Located in the first hills between Faenza and Forlì, around the Oriolo Tower, this area is home to quality viticulture: here the Sangiovese expresses a lively, austere and juicy fruit.
After careful selection in the vineyard during the harvest period, which usually takes place during the third ten days of September, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and average maceration for 25 days. The wine matures in steel 9 months before being bottled, then refines at least another 6 months in the bottle before being put on the market.
In the glass it shows color intense ruby red, with slight purplish reflections. On the nose it has a complex bouquet rich in nuances, with delicate and fragrant aromas of red fruits and spicy aromas.
An elegant, well-balanced and very fresh wine, which in the mouth finds grace and the typical salt of this territory. A refined red that will certainly delight the palate and guarantee a rich and unique sip. In combination with platters of not too seasoned cheeses, cured meats, roasts and grilled meats, it finds its maximum expression.
