The Franciacorta DOCG Saten from Lo Sparviere is a magnificent expression of Lombardy's sparkling wine tradition, embodying elegance and refinement. This wine is exclusively produced with Chardonnay grapes, giving it a softness and creaminess particularly appreciated by connoisseurs.

With its straw yellow color and golden reflections, it offers a delicate bouquet to the nose with hints of fresh white fruit, citrus, and floral notes, enriched by a light aroma of toasted bread and yeast, typical of the Franciacorta production methods. On the palate, it stands out for its creaminess and persistence, balanced by a fresh acidity that enhances its clean taste.

Aged for at least 24 months on the lees in the Lo Sparviere cellars, this Saten is ideal for accompanying delicate dishes such as seafood appetizers, risottos, and white meats, but it is also perfect as an aperitif. A wine that not only reflects the winemaking mastery of Lo Sparviere but also offers a taste experience that lingers.

Historic headquarters in a 16th-century rural residence. Production of Franciacorta DOCG with extended aging on the lees. Vineyards farmed organically since 2013. Affiliated with the Gussalli Beretta family and managed by Monique Poncelet Gussalli Beretta.
Winery history
The winery is located in an ancient country residence dating back to the 16th century; its name derives from the depiction of a sparrowhawk on the manor house’s fireplace. The estate is linked to the Gussalli Beretta family, and its recent management is attributable to Monique Poncelet Gussalli Beretta.
Production philosophy
Production focuses on expressing the terroir through grape selection, extended lees aging for the Franciacorta and the use of oak aging for some cuvées; the vineyards have been managed according to organic practices since 2013.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are situated in the hilly area of Franciacorta, southeast of Lake Iseo. The soils are characterised by calcareous marl and by the influence of pre-Alpine air, resulting in a relatively cool microclimate compared with lower-lying areas.
