The Franciacorta DOCG Brut 2016 from Lo Sparviere is a sophisticated expression of elegance and refinement. This sparkling wine is a tribute to Lombardy's winemaking tradition, using grapes sourced exclusively from the finest vineyards in the area. Fermented in the bottle according to the classic method, Lo Sparviere offers a balanced tasting experience with a distinctive creaminess.

In appearance, it presents a bright straw yellow color and a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and complex, with notes of ripe fruit such as peach and pineapple, enhanced by hints of yeast and toasted bread due to aging on the lees. On the palate, it is fresh, full, and harmonious, with a perfect balance between acidity and structure. This Franciacorta concludes with a long and clean finish, leaving a pleasant aftertaste of dried fruit and mineral nuances.

Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs splendidly with light appetizers, fish, and chicken dishes. A true gem to discover for any lover of high-quality Italian sparkling wines.

Historic headquarters in a 16th-century rural residence. Production of Franciacorta DOCG with extended aging on the lees. Vineyards farmed organically since 2013. Affiliated with the Gussalli Beretta family and managed by Monique Poncelet Gussalli Beretta.
Winery history
The winery is located in an ancient country residence dating back to the 16th century; its name derives from the depiction of a sparrowhawk on the manor house’s fireplace. The estate is linked to the Gussalli Beretta family, and its recent management is attributable to Monique Poncelet Gussalli Beretta.
Production philosophy
Production focuses on expressing the terroir through grape selection, extended lees aging for the Franciacorta and the use of oak aging for some cuvées; the vineyards have been managed according to organic practices since 2013.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are situated in the hilly area of Franciacorta, southeast of Lake Iseo. The soils are characterised by calcareous marl and by the influence of pre-Alpine air, resulting in a relatively cool microclimate compared with lower-lying areas.
