The Isonzo Friulano from Tenuta Luisa is a true representative of the finesse and winemaking tradition of Friuli Venezia Giulia. This varietally pure white wine is produced exclusively from Friulano grapes, carefully selected in the vibrant vineyards benefiting from the unique microclimate offered by the Isonzo area.

Upon visual examination, it presents a light straw-yellow color, embellished with greenish reflections that anticipate its freshness. The elegant olfactory bouquet envelops us with aromas of ripe pear, almond, and floral nuances of chamomile. There are also delicate herbaceous notes, witnesses of a perfect ripening of the grapes.

On the palate, the Isonzo Friulano surprises with its extraordinary harmony and the balance between an alluring softness and a lively acidity, which provides length and persistence. This duality makes the wine extremely versatile and suitable for a wide variety of culinary pairings; it pairs divinely with light appetizers, fish-based dishes, or fresh cheeses.

The Tenuta Luisa winery has always focused on the authenticity and integrity of the terroir, resulting in wines that fully express the identity of the territory. The attention to detail in vine care and winemaking is clearly reflected in every sip of this excellent Friulano.

The careful winemaking process, conducted in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and aromatic integrity of the grapes, is evident. The result is a wine that not only tells the story of a rich and generous land, but also manages to captivate the palate with its disarming elegance and sharp varietal expression.

Winery history
A family history that began with the purchase of the first plots by Francesco Luisa in the early 20th century. The estate has grown over several generations with documented milestones: expansion of the vineyards, construction of a new winery in the 1990s, and the launch of premium lines such as "I Ferretti" and "Millésimée". The estate's website records the first purchase of 5 hectares in 1907 and progressive growth to more than 100 hectares today.
Production philosophy
Vineyard-to-glass approach: quality that originates in the vineyard through low yields, high planting density and targeted treatments. In the winery, intervention is limited and aging is carefully managed for the selections. The winery also declares a commitment to environmental sustainability, with practices that have received recognitions and certifications as noted in the sources.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located on the plain between Collio and Carso, within the DOC Friuli Isonzo. Soils consist of mixed gravel and decalcified limestone with clayey sections. Approximate elevation 35–50 m above sea level. The climate is influenced by the Bora and Scirocco, with diurnal temperature variations that favour aromatic ripening.
