The Syrah DOC Sicilia "Sole di Sesta" by Cottanera is a red wine that splendidly represents the adaptability and expression of the Syrah grape variety in the unique context of Sicily, a land rich in history, culture and millenary winemaking traditions. Located on the slopes of Etna, the Cottanera winery stands out for its ability to exploit the peculiarities of the volcanic territory to produce wines of extraordinary aromatic intensity and complexity, thanks to soils rich in minerals and an ideal microclimate that favors the optimal maturation of the grapes .

The "Sole di Sesta" is the result of a careful selection of Syrah grapes, a vine that has found a second home in Sicily, expressing unique characteristics thanks to the influence of the volcanic soil and the particular climatic conditions of the island. Winemaking follows careful practices that respect the fruit, with the aim of preserving the aromatic integrity of the grapes and enhancing the varietal qualities of Syrah. The refinement in oak barriques allows the wine to acquire balance, harmony and a subtle tannic complexity, enriching it with spicy and toasted nuances.

Visually, the "Sole di Sesta" presents itself with an intense and deep ruby red color. On the nose, the wine offers a rich aromatic bouquet, characterized by notes of ripe red and black fruits, such as blackberries and plums, enriched by spicy accents of black pepper, liquorice and a delicate touch of vanilla and chocolate, the result of aging in wood . The mineral component, typical of wines produced on volcanic soils, adds a further dimension of complexity and depth to the olfactory profile.

In the mouth, the Syrah "Sole di Sesta" reveals itself to be powerful but elegant, with a well-defined tannic structure and balanced acidity that supports its freshness. The flavors of ripe fruit intertwine with spicy and balsamic notes, leading to a long and persistent finish, with a pleasant mineral vein that recalls the volcanic origin of the territory.

Ideal in combination with rich and savory dishes, such as grilled red meats, game-based dishes and mature cheeses, Cottanera's Syrah DOC Sicilia "Sole di Sesta" is an authentic expression of contemporary Sicilian viticulture, which combines tradition and innovation to offer wines of great character and personality.
