La Crotta di Vegneron's Valle d'Aosta DOC Syrah "Crème" is a testament to the winemaking excellence of the Aosta Valley, a mountainous region of Italy known for its distinctive wines produced in unique climatic conditions and soils. La Crotta di Vegneron, a cooperative winery located in the heart of the Valley, is dedicated to the valorisation of local and international vines, masterfully adapted to the particular Alpine terroir. Syrah "Crème" represents an excellent example of how this international grape variety can express unique characteristics when grown in the specific climatic and soil conditions of the Aosta Valley.

The vinification of Syrah "Crème" follows a careful approach to preserving the varietal qualities and the expression of the terroir. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures to maintain the aromatic integrity of the vine, with maceration that allows the extraction of color, tannins and deep aromas. The wine is then aged in wood, where it develops further layers of complexity and a tannic softness that enrich its flavor profile.

Visually, the Syrah "Crème" presents itself with a deep and inviting ruby red color. On the nose, it offers an intense aromatic expression, with notes of red and black fruits, such as blackberries and plums, enriched by spicy nuances of black pepper and a light touch of vanilla and chocolate, the result of the elegant passage in barrique. These olfactory sensations are accompanied by floral and mineral accents, which reflect the richness of the vine and the particularity of the Aosta Valley terroir.

In the mouth, the wine demonstrates extraordinary harmony and balance, with silky tannins well integrated into the whole and a lively acidity that underlines its freshness. The flavors of ripe fruit and spices intertwine perfectly, leading to a long and persistent finish, with a pleasant mineral note that invites another sip.

Ideal in combination with red meat dishes, game and mature cheeses, the Valle d'Aosta DOC Syrah "Crème" by La Crotta di Vegneron is an authentic and fascinating expression of Syrah, which manages to capture the essence of an international grape variety interpreted through the unique prism of the Alpine terroir of the Aosta Valley.
