The Chambave Rosso DOC from La Crotta de Vegneron is a distinguished and pleasantly complex red wine, originating from the Valle d'Aosta, a region renowned for its unconditional wine-growing tradition influenced by the high mountains. Its production takes place in an especially favorable area, where the cool climate and significant temperature variations enhance the aromaticity and freshness of the native grape blends, in this case primarily Petit Rouge along with a small percentage of other local varieties.

Visually, the Chambave Rosso presents a vibrant and inviting ruby red color. On the nose, the bouquet opens with notes of red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry, followed by more earthy and spicy hints that make the olfactory experience particularly captivating. On the palate, the wine is well-balanced, revealing a medium-light structure, soft tannins, and a freshness that makes it immediately drinkable, yet retaining good complexity and a persistent finish.

La Crotta de Vegneron, a cooperative respected and appreciated for its dedication to quality and respect for the land, meticulously crafts this wine, following traditional techniques that include fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, to preserve the aromas and organoleptic properties of the grapes to the fullest.

This Chambave Rosso DOC is ideal to accompany local dishes such as polenta concia, cereals, and meat stew, but it also pairs beautifully with hearty pasta dishes and gourmet pizzas. Ready to be served or stored for a few years, these wines represent an excellent example of how Alpine viticulture can express itself through reds.
