Sagrantino di Montefalco 25° is an award-winning wine, the spearhead of Cantina Caprai. The first vintage produced dates back to 1993. On the occasion of the celebrations for the 25th year of the founding of the cellar, this wine was born, produced from a 100% Sagrantino vine.
On the nose it is surprisingly complex and characterized by crazy combinations. The aromas range from blackberry jam to rose, from nutmeg to pepper, from pine resin to mint, from cloves to cocoa. On the palate it is soft and persuasive. Inviting freshness, elegant and composed tannins; a deep dark ruby red with a long finish to savour.
At the table it goes perfectly with meat and in particular with roasted and grilled lamb, black truffle, game.
