Gaudensius Blanc de Blancs is a classic method sparkling wine produced by the Sicilian winery Firriato. It comes from a perfect partnership between a native and an international vine, and between two distant territories such as Etna and the Trapani countryside.
Gaudensius is a sparkling wine of great value, able to stand up to comparison with the famous Champagne. A large label produced from the vinification of Carricante, a native Sicilian grape that has found its ideal habitat on the slopes of Etna, and Chardonnay, expression of the hills of a cru of the Borgo Guarini vineyard that is well suited to the delicate sparkling process. The refinement is long with a duration of over 30 months, to obtain a bubble of great personality.
It shows a pale straw yellow color tending to golden. The bouquet is fresh and complex, with fruity and floral hints of white fruits and acacia flowers, aromas of hazelnut and honey, accentuated by mineral sensations. In the mouth the taste is extremely delicate and elegant, rather concentrated, with aromatic persistence and exceptional permanence on the palate.
Perfect as an aperitif and excellent paired with crudité and raw fish, steamed or grilled fish, to be tried with first courses based on vegetables, ham and medium-aged cheeses.
