Winery history Bott Frigyes

Bott Frigyes is presented as an artisanal producer aiming to recover and enhance the historic winemaking tradition of the area between the Garam River, the Danube and the Ipoly. In addition to wine production, the winery operates an accommodation facility and a wine bar as part of the area's tourism offering.

Production philosophy

Viticulture focused on sustainability and biodynamics; in the cellar spontaneous fermentations in wood and amphorae are favoured, with extended lees ageing and bottlings with minimal added sulphites, often unfiltered. The approach is low‑intervention to highlight the character of the terroir.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards located on the southern slopes of the Muzsla/Mužla hills, along the Garam River, in a historically wine-producing area between the Garam, the Danube and the Ipoly. Soils feature a layer of clay over basalt/volcanic rock rich in limestone and minerals. Associated administrative centres: Radvaň nad Dunajom and Komárno.
