Winery history Cantina A Mano (A Mano Wine)

The A Mano project began when Mark Shannon and Elvezia Sbalchiero met; after working as winemakers in Sicily and studying Primitivo, they launched their business in Puglia in 1998. Rather than owning vineyards, the winery sources grapes each year from the "Primitivo triangle", working exclusively with family growers and mature vineyards to ensure quality and organoleptic consistency.

Production philosophy

The winery favors an artisanal approach: careful selection of grapes from small growers, winemaking designed to preserve freshness and the fruit’s aromas, and the production of easy-drinking wines that express the Puglian terroir.

Terroir and vineyards

Based in Noci, grapes are harvested in various areas of Puglia, with particular focus on Salento and the so‑called "triangolo del Primitivo".

Awards and recognitions

Falstaff rating: 91 points for the Primitivo as shown on the wine product pages.
