Winery history Casali Viticultori

The estate traces its origins to Giuseppe Casali’s viticultural activity at the beginning of the 20th century and established itself in the Reggio Emilia area. Over time its headquarters moved to Pratissolo after the acquisition of the podere Ca' Besina; in the 2000s ownership underwent several changes and the winery later became part of the Emilia Wine group. Casali has long-standing experience in producing Lambrusco, sparkling wines and the area's white wines.

Production philosophy

Combining local tradition and innovation: the winery showcases native grape varieties and the local terroir, focusing on consistent quality, production versatility and a presence also geared toward export markets.

Terroir and vineyards

Colli di Scandiano e Canossa, a transitional area between the plains and the Apennines where grape varieties typical of the Reggiano Apennines are cultivated and characterize the local wines.

Awards and recognitions

Recognitions for the Ca' Besina sparkling wine and mentions in wine guides and competitions.
