Winery history Il Conventino

The estate was founded as a local winemaking venture in the 1970s by Alfio Carpini; in subsequent years it grew, also incorporating the La Casella range. In the 1980s a small convent was renovated, giving the estate its name. The Brini family took over management in 2003 and has since pursued organic production and established the brand within the Montepulciano scene.

Production philosophy

Production oriented towards organic practices, respect for the land and traditional methods: limited yields, use of native yeasts, spontaneous fermentations and an emphasis on quality rather than quantity.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in Gracciano di Montepulciano, the estate cultivates vineyards in the Montepulciano area, with a strong presence of Sangiovese and other traditional local grape varieties.
