Winery Braida (di Giacomo Bologna)

The story begins in the small community of Rocchetta Tanaro, where the Bologna family cultivated Barbera and ran a trattoria; Giacomo began bottling and putting his name to the family wines and in the following decades the estate grew, becoming nationally and internationally recognized. After Giacomo's death in 1990, his wife Anna and their children expanded the vineyards, facilities and wine ranges, also opening a wine resort and consolidating the brand's identity.

Strong ties to the territory and to local viticulture, with Barbera at the heart of the estate’s project; a focus on hospitality and on production practices that combine quality and sustainability. Hospitality and careful vineyard management are distinctive features of the family.

Braida's vineyards are located between Monferrato Astigiano and the Langhe, on varied — sandy, clayey and calcareous — soils that characterize the different wines.
