Winery history Pietracupa

The family's winemaking origins are documented in various sources: some report agricultural activity as early as the 1970s in the contrada Vadiaperti, while the modern project known as Pietracupa was launched in the early 1990s. In the years that followed, Sabino Loffredo became the company's leading figure, bringing it national and international visibility with white and red wines that showcase the territory of Montefredane.

Production philosophy

Small-scale production focused on the local area and indigenous varieties, with an artisanal approach that places strong emphasis on grape quality and the expression of the local volcanic soil, highlighting Fiano and Greco as the main references.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in Montefredane on hilly terrain over a tuffaceous substratum. The vineyards are planted in the higher, cooler parts of the area, with mineral soils that influence the structure and longevity of the wines.

Awards and recognitions

Noted by Gambero Rosso as "Up and coming winery of the year". Other mentions in guides include awards for Fiano and Greco.
