Winery history Rimapere

The Rimapere vineyard was acquired by the group associated with the Rothschild family and developed as a single-vineyard project in Marlborough. The toponym "Rimapere" recalls the Māori meaning of "five arrows" and is also a tribute to the Rothschild coat of arms. In the years following the acquisition, the site was enhanced through the application of the group's winemaking standards and through collaboration with local viticulture and winemaking teams recognized at a regional level.

Production philosophy

Strong focus on expressing the terroir of each individual vineyard: careful vineyard management and winemaking aimed at enhancing the freshness and typicity of Sauvignon Blanc. The estate is part of the Edmond de Rothschild Heritage network and relies on established technical expertise.

Terroir and vineyards

Located on Rapaura Road in the Wairau Valley, the vineyard benefits from the region's cool climate and alluvial soils with pebbles, conditions that promote the fresh acidity and citrus aromas typical of the local Sauvignon Blanc.
