Winery history Tenute Gregu

The Gregu family's involvement in viticulture dates back, according to company and local sources, to the early decades of the 20th century, when production was intended for home consumption and bulk sales. Over time the family operation has evolved into a company that has enhanced the native grape varieties of Gallura and introduced commercial production and wine tourism; the estate is known as Raffaele Gregu.

Production philosophy

An approach oriented to listening to nature: low-intervention practices, hand harvesting and attention to protecting the land. The estate aims to express the local terroir through practices that respect the rhythm of the seasons and seek to limit the use of pesticides and chemical treatments in both the vineyard and the cellar.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards located in the Giuncheddu area, at the foot of Monte Limbara, in a landscape of granite rock and Mediterranean scrub; exposed to sea winds that influence the microclimate. Producers report vineyards situated at around 500 metres above sea level.
