Fonseca

Fonseca is a historic name in Port wine with a long presence in the Douro region and the Guimaraens family linked to production for several generations. The company manages several estates (including Quinta do Panascal) and has preserved a reputation for its Vintages and wines with a strong traditional character. In recent decades Fonseca became part of the group now operating as The Fladgate Partnership, while maintaining a strong enological identity.

Strong focus on the connection with the vineyard and the territory: Fonseca emphasizes sustainable viticulture practices and organic experimentation (the Terra Prima line was developed as a reference organic project). The house values both traditional methods and targeted vineyard interventions to express the characteristic style of its Ports.
