Crémant, which represents an important part of the estate's production. Vineyard parcels in the Grand Cru Praelatenberg and terroir cuvées / late-harvest wines available. Winery with a documented history dating back to the 18th century and currently family-run. Production based on the 7–8 typical Alsatian grape varieties and low-impact viticultural practices.
Winery history
The estate originated from the union of the Allimant and Laugner families; the family's presence in the vineyards is documented as far back as the early decades of the 18th century. Modern management is in the hands of the Laugner family, with Hubert at the helm and his son Nicolas joining the estate in 2013.
Production philosophy
The estate aims to balance tradition and modern technologies, carrying out many vineyard operations by hand to limit interventions and favor low-impact practices; in the cellar it seeks maximum precision with up-to-date equipment and fermentations using indigenous yeasts.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard is located in the Haut-Koenigsbourg area of Alsace, with parcels also in the Grand Cru Praelatenberg on granitic and metamorphic slopes typical of the area at the foot of the castle.
