The Gewürztraminer of the Linea 1840 by H. Lun stands out as an emblematic representative of the Alto Adige DOC, a land renowned for the cultivation of excellent aromatic grape varieties. This wine is made from Gewürztraminer grapes, a variety famous for its intense and spicy olfactory profile, grown in vineyards located among the Alpine mountains, where the cool climate and temperature variations favor a slow and complex maturation.

The winemaking method emphasizes the enhancement of aromas, maintaining freshness and structure, while aging in steel preserves aromatic vitality. On the nose, it releases notes of lychee, rose, sweet spices, and a touch of citrus. On the palate, it is enveloping, with a refined balance between softness and acidity, capable of beautifully accompanying spicy dishes, aged cheeses, and fish-based dishes with aromatic preparations.

A Gewürztraminer that faithfully reflects the Alto Adige terroir and the artisanal care of H. Lun.

Winery history
H. Lun originated as a quality label from South Tyrol when Alois H. Lun, beginning in 1840, started marketing wines selected from the region’s finest vineyards under his own name. After more than a century, the H. Lun label came under the management of Cantina Girlan, which maintains and develops it as an independent line while preserving its tradition.
Production philosophy
Selection of grape clusters by area and quality to enhance the expression of the terroir; production organized into two ranges with attention to varietal character. Recent commitment to reducing environmental impact.
Terroir and vineyards
The wines come from Alto Adige / Südtirol: an alpine‑continental climate tempered by abundant sunshine and shelter from the Alps to the north. Warm currents from Lake Garda and the Mediterranean influence the sunny exposures around Bolzano/Cornaiano.
