The Barbaresco DOCG - Gallina - Magnum - Oddero is a prestigious selection of Barbaresco, produced by the Oddero winery, one of the historical realities of Piedmont with roots dating back to the 18th century. The Oddero winery stands out for its dedication to the production of wines that express the deep connection with the Langhe area, combining tradition and innovation.

The "Gallina" vineyard, located in the municipality of Neive, is recognized for the exceptional quality of the Nebbiolo grapes grown there, contributing to the production of Barbaresco of great elegance and complexity. The choice of the Magnum format is indicative of the attention of the Oddero winery towards the valorisation of the wine and its aging potential.

Visually, the Barbaresco Gallina Magnum of Oddero has a bright garnet red color, with reflections that tend towards orange with aging. On the nose, the wine expresses an intense and complex aromatic bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, dried flowers, spices, and nuances of leather and tobacco, which reflect the elegant maturation in wood and the richness of the Nebbiolo.

In the mouth, the wine shows a solid structure, supported by finely woven tannins and a well-balanced acidity, which gives freshness and guarantees a long evolution over time. The flavors are consistent with the olfactory sensations, evolving towards a long and persistent finish, with a pleasant complexity that invites reflection on the depth of the wine.

Ideal to accompany red meat dishes, game, truffle-based dishes and mature cheeses, Barbaresco DOCG Gallina - Magnum from Oddero is also a meditation wine, which benefits from further maturation in the bottle, revealing new nuances and depth.

Winery history
The Oddero family has been in La Morra since the 18th century; the modern estate dates from 1878, when the first Giacomo Oddero began bottling wines under the family name. In the 20th century, the management of Giacomo helped consolidate the estate’s reputation; today the business is run by the next generations, who maintain the family tradition while expanding the vineyards and production.
Production philosophy
The winery aims to express the terroir by working with careful attention in the vineyard and with respect for the environment: organic practices and sustainable management are adopted to showcase the individual crus and preserve the heritage of the Langhe. In the cellar, priority is given to preserving the integrity of the grapes and to aging in large casks for wines that evolve over time.
